Legal highs make me hazy
Get out of bed, I'm too lazy
Cash my check I've spent it already
Looking for something steady
Is it just for entertainment
Or is there information
That can cut through all the bullshit
and give us what we're craving
Is it just for entertainment
It controls but submission
An ambition to get everyone you know
To give up on inhibition
Come out, speak out and let them know
They've got their own life to live
(worked for you)
There's nothing with how it is
(worked for you)
It's a very normal way of being
(worked for you)
Something else has got a hold of me
(what about me, that's how I want it to be)
Is it just for entertainment
(worked for you)
Don't be confused by these people
Don't think they are who they are because they clearly aren't
They'll put up a front and keep it up as long as you're around but now you're gone
Now they're a different person
(worked for you)
Man they don't really give a shit
(worked for you)
These people don't care about
(worked for you)
Anything they just scream, shout
(what about me, that's how I want it to be)
It's just for entertainment
(worked for you)
Fucking excellent album. If you miss fun lo-fi pop-punk sound of By The End of Tonight with lovely Cap'n'Jazz-esque vocals sprinkled in, then get ready for this cupcake. Talking seriously though, this album makes me feel like a teenager in summer again, listening to lo-fi instrumental bands, instead of a 20 something in Winter. Best song by far is Djimi Hendrix, the fun riffs are bouncy, but its the beautiful chorus riff that takes you off guard that really makes this song magical. Novel
Synths abound on the new single from Hearts and Rockets—icy cold, sharp, and minimal, and topped with a punk rock sneer. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 22, 2020
This Seattle 3-piece blast out their frisky punk LP via Kill Rock Stars. You might want to avoid their couch, though. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 16, 2015
